Gallery of past work
The coastal environment surrounding Rachel inspires and informs her art. Many of her unique driftwood artworks are embedded with sea glass and interwoven with locally-found seashells and other shoreline treasures.
Her assemblage designs range from driftwood fish, seahorses and starfish through to ships with recycled nautical chart sails, anchors and whales.
Every purchase of Rachel's ghost net (recycled fishing rope) designs, including limited edition 'Lulworth Cove' design mirrors, bears a donation to Weymouth & Portland Marine Litter Project CIC. Please also see the 'Project Litter Free Fleet' page of this website.
A wide variety of Rachel's creations are available online from The Driftwood Gallery on Etsy.com, and ghost net mirrors are also available for in-person purchase from Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy (see Venues page for details, where galleries retailing Rachel's art are also listed).
Donation certificates are shown in the story highlights of her Instagram and Facebook social media accounts, both @driftwoodfish.
During 2022 Rachel was by invitation a guest artist at the Dorset Art Weeks 'It's Up to Us' exhibition. She was also a guest artist at the 'Making Our Mark' exhibition hosted by Art in Poundbury at Jubilee Hall, Poundbury.
