Supporter of Dorset’s Weymouth & Portland Marine Litter Project
A lifelong beachcomber, I have designed and created intricate, uniquely contemplative pieces of assemblage art since 2011. My materials are locally sourced driftwood and found objects such as seashells, fragments of pottery and sea glass.
These are all carefully chosen during my regular walks along Dorset’s beautiful Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
In Dorset I am represented by the wonderful Dansel Gallery in Abbotsbury village, a specialist art gallery showcasing the work of some 200 British designer-makers working with wood.
Purchases of my ‘ghost net’ (recycled fishing net) art contribute towards our local Weymouth & Portland Marine Litter Project, and as ‘DriftwoodFish’ I sponsor beach cleans along the shores of the Fleet, a tidal lagoon separating the land from Chesil beach.
